Building much needed Health Posts
There are many groups of small villages (with usually around 4,000 - 5,000 Tonga) that are located very long distances from any medical facilities and in fact in the rainy season (December - March) they are totally isolated.
We have now built clinics at Chisanga (our first), Simukanka and Kalelezi and as you can imagine they have had a huge impact on the lives of the Tonga.
A typical post consists of the clinic, a maternity ward, a mothers shelter, two staff houses and an incinerator. We equip them with solar lighting, running water and medical equipment. The Government supplies the staff and the on going supplies.
