Providing Clean Water
Trachoma infects up to 45% of the children and if untreated causes a very painful blindness. Our program examines, medicates, educates the children, performs surgeries as required and providing clean water for them and their families.

Assisting at the Orthopedic Hospital
The Foundation provides funding for 100 operations annually for the children who need orthopedic surgeries and in October 2006 we opened the residence that we built to house the families of the children needing an operation and we look after the annual operating costs.

Distributing School and Medical Supplies
The villagers in the Gwembe Valley are desperate for even the simplest of supplies and the Foundation collects t-shirts and school materials from children and others in Canada and distributes them in Zambia each year.

Cataract Surgeries
The Foundation hold Pediatric Surgeons at the Lusaka Eye Hospital performing a range of surgical procedures including operating on children who were born with cataracts and therefore blind giving them sight for the first time.

Chishawasha Orphanage
There is a tremendous need to look after the growing number of orphans and we are pleased to support this orphanage that is giving a safe loving home to over 90 children and also providing them with a first rate education.

Building Community Schools
The education facilities are very poor in this remote valley and we have embarked on a program to build as many schools as we can.

Building Health Posts
Because of the remoteness of the Gwembe Valley there are a large number of Tonga who are unable to reach medical help. We have now built two health posts, will build two more in 2013 and have a goal to provide everyone in 'our' valley with proper access to health care.
